Getting to know the city of Drama. Starting from the museum and through the archaeological finds of the area we get a first glimpse of the history of this city. We then walk to the modern center and market today to look for streets and buildings from the Byzantine and Ottoman past of the city as well as all those features that made it a rich tobacco city at the turn of the century. Walls, cafes, churches that have been converted to mosques and mosques that have been converted into churches are some of the sights we will encounter. At the same time, through the flavors and aromas of groceries and restaurants we will have the opportunity to get to know the different origins of today’s Dramas and their habits. The tour ends at the city’s largest park, the Fountains of St. Barbara.
